Jim has over 25 years of professional and management experience at organizations that include Intel Corporation (1988-2002), Matsushita and Synektron Corporation.  While at Intel, Jim was a speaker and facilitator for advanced management training sessions as well as a regular instructor for Intel University management courses.

Jim's career in human resources has spanned multiple disciplines including employee relations, HR development, internal communications and compensation.  He received a prestigious Intel Achievement Award in 1996 for his role in the development of an HR call center that revolutionized delivery of HR services in the company.

His global responsibilities extended to Asia, Central America, Europe and the Middle East.  The HR Certification Institute has recognized Jim as a Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR); he is a member of that organization's examination forms panel and passing point committee.

Jim is an independent advisor for LightSPEED Technologies, Inc. and serves on that company's Compensation and Organizational Development Committees.  He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).

In his academic role, Jim is a respected teacher who has conducted extensive research examining the learning behavior of professionals in a corporate environment.  For the last two years, Jim has taken groups of graduate management students to China for a experiential learning about global business.
